Gilbert is going off on an adventure to China very soon with my nephew Alexander and his journey will be eagerly followed with lots of photos here on my website. Poor Baby George is having to stay here but I’m sure all my other monkeys will look after him.

FIZZ AND FUZZ THE BABY ORANGUTAN IDENTICAL TWINS
Jul 2nd, 2010 by admin

This is my knitting pattern for Fizz and Fuzz the baby orangutan identical twins.
Although these baby orangutans are impossible to tell apart their knitting patterns are surprisingly each quite different.
Fizz stands at 50 cm high and Fuzz is 80 cm high.
Even their mannerisms are exactly the same as you can see here.

Both Fizz and Fuzz are knitted mainly using my Superfast technique on 8 mm needles which is 4 times faster than ordinary knitting and are so quick and simple to make that they only take a couple of days to complete.
The pattern provides full instructions to make jointed versions as can be seen here or slightly simpler non- jointed versions.

You can buy a pdf download for the Fizz and Fuzz Baby Orangutan Identical Twins pattern for £2.95 or a printed copy with free postage for £4.95 with free worldwide postage.

They are both knitted in Ice Eyelash which is cheap and available to buy on line.

CILLA THE UGLY BABY GORILLA SUPERFAST KNITTING PATTERN
May 30th, 2010 by admin

This is my Cilla the Ugly Baby Gorilla knitting pattern.Cilla is knitted mainly using the Superfast technique which is four times faster than normal dk knitting because three strands of dk are used together on 8 mm needles.
The knitting pattern also includes the nappy (diaper) and slouch beanie hat.
Cilla is 44 cm long and is approximately the same size as a newborn human baby. Despite her ugliness she will be helping me by modelling some of the baby clothes from my new range of madmonkeybabyknits knitting patterns.
I tried to make Cilla beautiful but all newborn baby gorillas are fairly ugly as you can see here.

You can buy this knitting pattern as a pdf download which I will personally email to you for £1.95 or as a printed copy with free wordlwide postage for £3.50. Just click on the relevant button.

Please don’t think I’m being rude by calling Cilla ugly, remember I was once an ugly baby gorilla myself!

There is some good news about baby Cilla. When she was first born I did not have a cot for her so I made one out of our cat basket. Blacky now thinks she is the proud mother of this ugly baby gorilla and is making a great job of caring for her.

Oscar the Baby Orangutan-toy monkey knitting pattern
Nov 10th, 2009 by admin

Here is Oscar the baby orangutan .Oscar stands at 35 cm high when made up and the knitting pattern provides full details to make either a jointed version with moving head, arms and legs or as a slightly simpler non-jointed version as shown here.He is really quick to knit and make up and is one of the simplest of my toys to make so would be very good for a beginner who wants to knit something and quick which is more exciting than a scarf.

Oscar is named after my niece Lucy’s first child but I was nervous about telling her because I thought she may think that I thought her baby looked like an orangutan! Of course he doesn’t he’s beautiful.
My Oscar has a big brother Ollie and their dad is the very hairy Ozzie.
Oscar now has a snuggly sleeping suit to keep him warm whilst asleep in his tree nest, its called Oscar’s monkeygro.
All of these knitting patterns are now available to buy.
Oscar the Baby Orangutan is knitted in dk on 3.00 mm needles and I would classify him as easy to make.
The Oscar the Baby Orangutan knitting pattern costs for £1.95 for a pdf download which I will send to you by email or £3.50 for a printed version with free worlwide postage.

monkeygro9
Its getting cold at night now so I’ve designed this monkeygro sleeping suit for Oscar the baby orangutan. He insists on making a nest up in the trees every night but now I know that he will keep warm.monkeygro6
Its a bit of a nuisance having to climb up the tree to read him his bedtime story but he’s a baby orangutan so what else can I do? Its lovely to see him snuggled up in his nest ready to sleep.monkeygro4
You can buy Oscar’s monkeygro knitting pattern as a pdf download for £1.50which will be emailed to you on receipt of payment or as a printed copy with free post in the U.K. for £2.95. Overseas customers will be charged any excess postage at time of dispatch of their order.
