Jasper’s Beanie VERY EAsy free knitting pattern
I am celebrating the birth of my second grandson called JASPER. I also taught my youngest son Freddy (who was visiting from Australia) to knit last week and this hat was his first project. I have released the pattern FREE so that you can all knit one too.
Freddy made the yellow one and I hope you agree that he made a fabulous job of it. There was no practicing, I just taught him to cast on, then how to do a row of knit followed by a row of purl and that was it. There was no stopping him and the next day we finished our matching hats. His tension was perfect and at the end I taught him how to k2tog for the decrease rows, cast off and simply sew up the seam.
We visited Jasper at the weekend, he seemed to liked both hats but would not tell us which one was best.
Jaspers Beanie can be knit in 3 sizes S (0-1month), M (1-6 months) and L (6-12 months). Its worked flat on 4 mm needles in any dk yarn of your choice.
